Reverend Ronald R. Jones was born in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Reverend Charles Sr. and Mrs. Nina Jones. 

In 1979 God called him to preach the gospel, so he humbly submitted himself to God and accepted his calling into “God’s Ministry.” 

He attended Immanuel Baptist Seminary and after completing four years he received the Doctor of Theology Degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. 

In 1980, Pastor Jones accepted the call to become the pastor of Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church and there he served as pastor for ten years. 

In 1982 he was ordained under the pastorate of Bishop Otis Newson, who was then the Pastor of Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. 

On July 14, 1991 he was called to pastor Silver Springs Missionary Baptist Church located in Smyrna, Tennessee, and on August 25, 1991 he was officially installed as the thirteenth pastor. Since becoming the pastor, of Silver Springs the church has prospered and continues to grow and flourish as an empowered church body, spiritually and physically. To mention; he was also responsible for THE BURNING of the MORTGAGE the church had at that time leaving the church debt free. 

He participates in the Smith Fork District Association and the Missionary Baptist State Convention. He is proactive in many outreach ministries. To name a few of them follows: Abused Women’s Shelter, Help Feed the Homeless, Crisis Pregnancy Organization, New Orleans, Haiti and Nashville Disaster Relief Funds as well as he and his congregation sponsor children in India and Africa. 

Pastor Jones is highly respected and well known for his impressive articulation of spiritual messages, he is a dynamic speaker receiving and accepting numerous invitations. 

He is married to the former Miss Carla D. Hargrove. After being married for several years they were blessed with a baby boy, Skylor Renell, in December 2003. He is the apple of their eye and the joy of their lives.
